The ministers of the 27 approve the extension of the EUJUST mission

(B2) The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the 27 should, on Monday, approve the extension of the EUJUST Lex training mission in Iraq (as announced, read here). The mission is thus renewed for one year. But above all, its mandate is extended, geographically. Thus, recruitments are underway to enable the mission to be expanded, directly in the field (until now most of the staff was based in Brussels or in the Member States, making many shuttles). The personnel would be established, not only in Baghdad, but also in the various provinces of the country, praying that the security conditions would allow this deployment. The mission will continue to train police officers, judges and prison guards, focusing mainly on the criminal chain (arrest, incrimination, detention, etc.)
