Health regulation taxes canceled in Rep. Czech

(B2) First consequence of the vote of the motion of censure in the Czech Republic, the opposition managed to pass to the Chamber of Deputies (in first reading) its bill which cancels the regulatory payments on medical care. The parties in the government coalition did not find enough votes to reject this project. Some measures come into effect immediately for children under 18 and people over 65 (who will receive an annual exemption of up to 2 crowns on medicines).

This highly contested reform had set fire to the powder in the Czech Republic. Doctors, health services, trade unions as well as opposition parties opposed it. Most regions (held by the opposition) had even voted for a provision partially financing the additional cost to be paid for patients. This emptied the reform of part of its usefulness (in fact only the region of Prague had maintained the reform in an integral way). transitional government until the elections (normally scheduled for October 20).

Another opposition victory : MEPs also gave the green light to slow down the deregulation of rents. And the opposition managed to put on the agenda of the chamber debates on the chamber program the debate on the bill that would prevent the privatization of Prague airport.

The tide is definitely turning in Prague and in the right direction...
