The reintegration of France into NATO engraved in a letter

(B2) The post office was on strike yesterday but not the President of the Republic or the diplomats. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, the Secretary General of NATO thus received the letter from Nicolas Sarkozy officially announcing his decision to reintegrate the command structures of the Atlantic Alliance, after the vote of the National Assembly, on March 17 validating this choice. A letter whose public content has not been disclosed. But we can
quote a sentence or two: I would like to inform you of my decision that France will resume its full place in the structures of the Alliance in which it will participate fully wrote Nicolas Sarkozy. This will strengthen the weight of Europe. "Europeans must play a growing role and strengthen their military capabilities in the Alliance.” he adds.
