9 pirates arrested by Americans freed, no proof

(B2) The US Navy has just released 9 of the 16 people suspected of piracy that it had intercepted on February 12 last. There is not enough evidence to bring them before a Kenyan prosecutor, under the terms of the agreement the United States made with Kenya, explained the
defense officials. These suspects were detained on an American ship after the attack on an Indian-flagged boat, the Premdivya. The Navy had spotted a boat similar to the description given by the Indians. Apparently a half-missed shot. This shows that this naval battle is also a legal battle...
