The “Globalization” Fund has paid 22 million euros, an update on the files

(B2) After the payment, on May 28, of aid to Maltese companies (textile industry = VF and Bortex) and Portuguese (automotive industry: Alcoa Fujikura, near Lisbon, Opel Portugal and Johnson Controls, in Alentejo), the European Fund of globalization has paid since its establishment at the beginning of 2007, 21,7 million euros, responding to six requests. Six files are still under investigation for a total amount of 58,1 million euros: mainly in the textile and automobile industries in Italy, Spain and Lithuania (details in the table).

As a reminder, the Globalization Fund can pay up to 500 million euros per year. So he still has some room…
