B2's life

Creation of the “Brussels2” blog

(BRUSSELS 2) The European Security and Defense Policy (ESDP) - the 2nd pillar of the European Union - is advancing discreetly behind the walls of the Justus Lipsius (the Council of the EU), the Cortenbergh 150 (the General Staff ) or rue des Drapiers (the European Defense Agency). Strategy, policies, industry, crisis management and emergency relief, military and civilian missions (Bosnia, Kosovo, Moldova, Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Congo, etc.), logistics, air transport, maritime surveillance... This blog wants to be a media, in its own right, on a poorly known policy of the EU and respects journalistic principles.

Why this name: Brussels2? We often talk about "Brussels decides", Brussels2 is the hidden side, dark or happy, of European decisions. "Bruxelles2" is also a nod to the second pillar of the European Union and to our British friends.

NB: Some articles predate this creation. It is quite simply that they result from articles already written for other media that I put as archives because they can help to understand current or future developments.
