Neisha in opening concert for the Slovenian presidency

(B2) A young 25-year-old artist, Neisha, was chosen to open, on November 30, the festivities of the Slovenian presidency of the European Union. Make no mistake! Behind his young age, there are several years of work, and above all an undeniable success. Neisha is a real star in Slovenia. Classically trained, she turned three years ago to a more pop career. His first album, released in September 2005, was an immediate success. She won in 2006, "Viktor", the most important prize of the young former Yugoslav republic. And his concerts are often sold out. On jazz, soul music, his talent is undeniably due to a voice which, on a frame of piano, strings and brass, draws a light pop atmosphere à la Norah Jones or Alicia Keys, say the music specialists. But “my inspiration is broader,” she told us, jumping out of bed... “Pop, funkie, RnB, ethnic. I listen to Sting, Peter Gabriel or Sade, funkie like Prince or Stewie Wonder, or Chaka Khan”. She will be with a dozen of her musicians on the stage of the Old Belgium, in Brussels

• November 30 (from 20 p.m.). The concert is organized by the Permanent Representation of Slovenia to the EU
