A France-England game

(B2) The real issue of this election evening at the European Parliament in Brussels was elsewhere. In a small room, has been improvised next to the bar, under a round ball and a European symbol, a television room devoted to football. The France – England match occupied everyone's mind not only for the sporting event but also because it is a symbol. As much as two conceptions of football, it puts two conceptions of Europe face to face: Atlanticist or integrated, Peoples or Nations, social democrat or liberal... Everything was in this match, even the very hour of the whistle final coincided.
