Althea helicopter crashes in Bosnia

(B2) A helicopter carrying four people, two Spanish crew members and two German soldiers from the European peacekeeping force in Bosnia (Eufor Althea), crashed around noon on Thursday in the center of the country, at a twenty kilometers north of the city of Travnik, announced Eufor. The helicopter, a Spanish type Mbb BO-105, was on a routine and personnel transport flight and crashed in a heavily wooded mountainous area that was difficult to access. The reasons for the crash are unknown as testified by the second helicopter which accompanied him. This is the second accident that Eufor has to suffer. In January 2008, a Macedonian Mi17 helicopter carrying 11 soldiers returning from operations crashed north of Skopje.
